Delta del Po

A guided walking tour setting off from the Cervia Salt Pan Visitor Centre to reach, at the most picturesque time of day, the salt pans: the crystallisation and salt-harvesting basins. We walk along the embankment that runs alongside the salt pans’ perimeter canal and, once we reach the salt pans, we venture into the heart of the salt pans, amongst pools of water and the wildlife that thrives here in the wild, for a leisurely and authentic experience, immersed in the flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem.

The walk can be combined with an aperitif at the Salino bar, to be enjoyed 60–45 minutes before departure.

We walk to the heart of the salt pan, discovering its secrets, surrounded by the warm colours of the sunset and admiring unique landscapes.

In late summer and autumn, we’ll explore the active salt pan and the secrets of ‘sweet salt’, observing the silt and Artemia salina.

Along the walking route, our guide will share information and interesting facts about the typical flora and ‘salt-loving’ plants.

Enveloped by the warm colours of the sunset, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience!
